Philippe LeBlanc is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Flixel Photos. Flixel is the cinemagraph software company. They make cinemagraph creation tools that empower photographers, marketers, and agencies to advance their visual storytelling using cinemagraphs, a new medium that blends photography and video together. Flixel’s flagship Mac app Cinemagraph Pro, won the prestigious Apple Design Award in 2014. That same year they also won Company of the Year at the 2014 Digi Awards. Flixel received the top prize at last year’s Startup Festival. Prior to Flixel, Philippe left the financial industry to enter the startup world. Driven by a desire to make an impact, he co-founded Hour of Balance, a workplace health and wellness startup. In his spare time, Philippe enjoys film, tennis, and trying to master the book “The Inner Game of Tennis” for all things beyond tennis. Philippe is originally from Moncton, New Brunswick and studied philosophy at the Dominican University-College in Ottawa. He currently resides in Toronto, Canada.
