Maggie Sprenger is the co-founder and General Partner of 1862, an early stage venture firm investing in dual use and national security focused startups. Maggie is currently building a network of trusted capital and dual use companies.

Maggie is a Kauffman Fellow. She is also a mentor at NYU Stern’s Endless Frontier Labs, where she works with startups over a nine-month long program. Previously she completed a Fellowship with the Observer Research Foundation, based in New Delhi.

Before her work at 1862, Maggie was the founder and Managing Director of Cosgrove Capital, a real estate investment firm. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Afghanistan World Foundation, and the Alumni Admissions Committee of the University of Pennsylvania.

Maggie holds a BA from the University of California, Santa Barbara in Political Science and Environmental Studies, and an MBA from Wharton.
