As the GM of Wattpad, Candice is fortunate to work with a killer team to create the future of storytelling. Wattpad is a new form of entertainment that combines mobile, social and reading and they have 30MM stories uploaded, 20MM users, and 5Bn minutes on our platform per month. In her role, she leads all the business teams.
Previously, she was the co-founder of Torstar Digital and has invested in highly disruptive businesses that were based in Canada. They launched, acquired and invested in over 15 companies including Olive Media (premium ad network), Web2Mobile (Mobile ad network), Wagjag (group buying),Jaunt (travel e-commerce) Eyereturn, (ad tech) and Workopolis (job search), TOPS (CMS). During this time, she also founded two startups - Ourfaves (local UGC review site - pre-Yelp) and Shopcatch (mobile shopping deals app).
Before joining Torstar Digital, she spent four years with the Monitor Group, a top tier strategy consulting firm.
